Radium Recording Studio Manchester

Many recording studios can provide space and equipment but few have our understanding and passion for quality music - whatever the genre.

In addition to producing high quality recordings, Radium Audio Services also undertakes audio preservation and archiving including transfer and restoration of old tapes and records.  We also produce voice-overs, training media, animation and video soundtracks.

Tips For Making Your Recording Session a Success

  • Be well rehearsed and confident in your performance
  • Have a written recording plan for the engineer e.g. song order, number of tracks, how you wish to use the time
  • In your budget allow for mixing and mastering as well as recording, artwork & CD production
  • Be sure to bring all of your support materials including charts, spare strings, reeds, backing tracks on CD (if applicable) etc.
  • Artists may find it helpful to record two or three takes of each track and choose the best from these. This will, of course, depend on your budget and how you wish to spend your studio time.
  • We recommend no more than two people involved in your project sit in on the mixing and mastering stages.
  • We request all artists and visitors turn off mobile phones before entering the recording suites.
  • Bring food - or let us know and we can arrange for it to be catered.
